Gjermund Eriksen is an International Emmy-awarded writer and producer. Eriksen is the creator and showrunner of Norwegian hit TV series, Mammon (2014), which has been remade into both a Polish (Pakt) and Czech (Mamon) version by HBO. He is also the creator of the comedic noir series, Livstid (2020), commissioned by the Norwegian broadcaster NRK. Eriksen is additionally the creator and showrunner of Furia (2021), a thriller series about the fight against right-wing extremism in Europe's ever polarizing political climate. Eriksen is furthermore creator of the light-hearted legal series, Aber Bergen (2016), and co-creator of one of Norway's biggest political podcasts, Trump mot verden (Trump vs the world), about the political drama in the White House. Eriksen hails from Mysen, a small town 70 kilometers south of Norway's capital, Oslo. He studied English literature, language and culture at the University of Oslo before starting work at the Institute of Culture Studies. After 10 years in the communications industry, NRK picked up his script for Mammon (2014), and he could finally dive wholeheartedly into a screenwriting career. Mammon went on to become an incredibly successful series and won an International Emmy Award. When his next show, Furia (2021), airs in 2021, it will be his fourth show in seven years.
