Tristan Barrocks

Tristan Barrocks is an internationally recognized, award-winning Afro-Canadian director, producer, and writer located in Toronto who focuses on telling human-centered stories. He was born on December 20th, 1983, in Toronto, Canada. He's been featured on platforms like Henrys Canada, Glossy Inc, and Muna Luchi. His film Dear Black Dad, released digitally, has garnered critical acclaim for its authenticity and truth. Wallflower (Web series 2023), Connecting the Dots (Docuseries 2019) and Mother To Mother are note-worth installments to Tristan's directorial catalogue. With over twenty years of experience as an actor, Barrocks has been featured in projects like Dawn of the Dead, Mean Girls, and The Perfect Man, to name a few. As a director, Barrocks is a seasoned storyteller whose ability to relate to on-screen talent and communicate his creative vision technically to the production team is a valuable asset. Barrocks is also passionate about building communities through video partnerships and educating youth on how to tell their own stories from their unique perspectives. As founder of The Digital Storytellers, Barrocks provides real-world opportunities for young creatives looking to build their career experience within the film, TV, and commercial industries. Barrocks has also been a guest speaker for several post-secondary institutions like Seneca College and Georgian College.
