A Florida boy, born and raised, Corey Wayne was born to two loving parents Carson and Jeanne Wayne. Carson's father was Jazz guitarist Chuck Wayne (1923-1997), his stepsister's husband is Steve Allison, writer of "Love Is the Drug", and his cousin is Scott Underwood, drummer for the Pop-rock band, "Train". Unable to fulfill his dreams of playing guitar in a rock band, Carson got a job running a glass company in Florida with his wife, in order to raise two kids: Corey and his older brother Lance. Lance played football from High school through college, and is raising a family of his own. Corey grew up listening to Rock, but never turned out to be a musician. He was a film fanatic from the time he was five-years-old. He grew up practicing writing, drawing, acting, and directing all throughout his childhood. He made small home-movies with his friends whenever he could. When it came time for High school, Corey was accepted into G-Star School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida. Corey has matured into a more professional style of filmmaking with the equipment and people the school provides. Corey made friends and partnered with fellow students Trevohn Garner, Joshua Bashknight, and Ian Fyfe. The quartet together formed Bashknight productions: an independent film company headed by Joshua Bashknight. As of 2013, the few began entering shorts they produce themselves into film-festivals, and have been gaining the connections and resources to produce their own independent films, all while still in their last years of High-school. Corey is an ambitious young man who is slowly rising to the beginnings of his dream career.
