Troy L. Taylor was born to perform. His credentials burst with talent as does his personality. His good looks, adorable gap-toothed smile, dimples, acting charisma, and role versatility create limitless opportunities for him to shine. After meeting and working alongside Matt Damon, Johnny Depp, and Morgan Freeman, Troy decided acting was his true career. Troy was born in Wyoming on March 31, 1974 and by his first birthday, the family relocated to Texas. He graduated from high school and then attended a Pennsylvania University, obtaining a B.A. in Biblical Studies/Youth Ministry and a minor in Pre-law. He utilized his degree and began as a Youth Pastor in Pennsylvania, where fun drama and skits played a large part of the youth group activities. It was in his first community play, Curtains, that he played the lead character, Charlie; and was later cast as a community member in the movie Promise Land, with Matt Damon, his first big screen appearance in 2011. This Texas-raised gentleman enrolled and completed his studies at Lee Strasberg Acting and Film Institute, in Los Angeles and soon afterwards was cast as a featured restaurant patron in the movie Frank, starring Maggie Gyllenhaal. In the 2014 movie Transcendence, Troy acted as a militant and proudly performed all of his own stunts. He also worked as Morgan Freeman. He also met and worked alongside Johnny Depp and Morgan Freeman. Along with Matt Damon, these three are, in his opinion, the most talented actors in Hollywood. Troy has been a personal assistant to Partha Nandi, MD the host of Ask Dr. Nandi, a two-time Emmy Award winning medical talk show in Detroit. He has also been a host and Masters of Ceremony on The Tommy Taylor Show. His brother, Tommy Taylor, Jr., is a popular media, radio, and television comedy personality in the Washington, D.C. area. Troy excels at portraying biographical roles in film and his most cherished role was as Martin Luther King, Jr. in the documentary MLK, Jr. in 2014. Troy Taylor actively supports charities such as the Detroit South Oakland Shelter, Helping End Homelessness, and the Wounded Warrior Project through out the seven states he has lived in during the past 20 years.
