Starting his film making interests at the age of five, Alex has been around films almost his entire life. His brother was working on a feature film in high school when he asked Alex to play a child scared in the woods. To everyone's amazement, Alex delivered a very convincing performance. After that, Alex and his brother worked on a series of films for fun that ended up becoming a cult classic in Santa Barbra. Alex and his brother worked on the stories and direction together. This would be a constant theme in their work together. Alex pursued a degree in film and television, but during a budget crisis, the department was cut from his college. Instead of relocating, Alex founded Underground Media; a student organization dedicated to passing on what his instructor, Carol Lancaster Mingus, had taught. After a year of resounding successes, Alex worked for KAZ-TV and BU-Universal Group in media marketing. There he created dozens of commercials to promote the companies he worked for, and their clients. Later, Alex founded Modesto Convention Corporation, or Modesto Con, where he presided as President for three years. In December of 2019, Alex founded Sooner Rather Than Later Productions with his partner Robert Definne Dorsey. From there they created a company dedicated to making films and educating any interested in the field. The start of the partnership was commemorated in their debut film Down to Come Up in which they co-directed.
