Nicolle Johnson

Nicolle Johnson, long time music executive and founder of NJ Music Clearance; was born and raised in Los Angeles, Calif. She attended California State University Northridge, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Cinema & Television Arts. After college, she landed her first position in Music Publishing in 2005 with Universal Music Publishing Group. In 2014, Nicolle began working at Warner Chappell Music as a Manager, Sync Licensing, negotiating and licensing music clearance for high profile writers and artists under the Warner catalog. After 13 years of working with two of the largest music publishers, Nicolle decided to take her music industry experience and open up her own music consulting office, NJ Music Clearance. With more than 15 years of experience, Nicolle's career as an acclaimed executive and consultant includes projects with Viacom, Netflix, Disney, Sony Pictures Television, BET, NBC Universal, Google, Ralph Lauren and various digital media including podcasts. Her extensive background and education make her an expert in budgeting, management, music clearing, and licensing. Her knowledge of existing copyright laws, Synchronization/Master and PRO rights are superior and in high demand. Nicolle's passion in the music industry is amplified through philanthropy; she serves as active members for Women in Music Miami and Diversity in Sync.
