Bret Lockett is a star-athlete, successful businessman, recording artist, philanthropist, and role model for young people. Widely recognized for his three seasons in the NFL with the New England Patriots, Lockett quickly established himself as a highly skilled, charismatic and amiable player. With an Adonis-like physique and quick smile, Lockett began attracting both media attention (gracing national magazine covers) and endorsement opportunities alike. Understanding his unique position as a role model for young people, Lockett coupled his desire with giving back to his community with pointing kids in a positive direction. The Looking Forward Foundation, his non-profit organization encourages young people to stay out of trouble, finish school, and become productive members of society. In business, Lockett has partnered with tech and social media company Mobli and Florida-based executive transportation company GroundFlights. Lockett's latest pursuit is music, and he comes by his musical roots legitimately. His cousin is the late Grammy Hall of Fame inductee ("At Last") Etta James and his uncle is the late R & B singer Vernon Green of the Medallions. A native Californian, Lockett lettered in high school football and track & field. He attended UCLA where he played for the Bruins before entering the NFL.
