Ericka Sance, cultivated and elevated in the eclecticism of Southern California, has unfolded, developed, and expanded her talents throughout the pockets of Los Angeles County. Her penchant for performance is as far reaching as the freeways that web themselves in all directions over the city. An alumnus of Hollywood High school Performing Arts Magnet, her predisposition for anything performative-music, dance, and acting film- has urged her onto a constant excursion of growth and training. Moreover, Ericka's beginnings at Hollywood High are both remarkable and noteworthy. Having skipped junior high school, Ericka began her high school education at the green age of 12. Conceivably, a normal preteen thrown into such a setting might find the pressure and weight of such manifold endeavors overwhelming and the competitiveness disheartening, but instead Hollywood High represented an influential vessel permeating with all the mediums in which Ericka would inevitably find her life's trajectory, exploring and studying music, dance and acting (both theater and film). From Hollywood High, Ericka continued her performative studies with Music and Dance at Santa Monica College, and only continues to advance both her passion and craft. She studied at Edge Performing Arts Center absorbing a plethora and variety of dance, ranging from ballet to tap, from jazz/swing and burlesque to belly dance and various other styles. Training under Edouard Kouzmitch, with a focus in ballet, and Kelsey McCowan, with a focus in tap, the two, along with others, imparted to Ericka solidification a performer needs. Soon Ericka, persistent and motivated, proceeded from her work at Edge to Pasadena Conservatory of Music refining and fortifying her vocal talents. Under the tutelage of music professor Marine Ter-Kazaryan, she received further training in Classical Voice and Jazz. Beyond just the conservatory, Ericka's voice is not the only instrument in her unfailing musicality, but is also a multi-instrumentalist and has studied the accordion at Dave's Accordion School in Los Angeles. The city of Los Angeles is embedded with her musical contributions as she embedded by it; she has traces of her music, like a masked imprint but faint as if knowing and meeting Ericka brings the very prints into perceptibility, out of the walls and floors of all the LA venues both solo, collaboratively and/or as a member of the band Sister Rogers. Of course, as previous with dance and music, and as they continue to persist in Ericka's life, she carries her commitment to the performing arts with acting. Having studied at The Imagined Life with Diane Castle, Ericka continues to study with acting coach Doug Warhit. Her devotion to performing and the craft is unceasing and enthusiastic, an embodiment of tenacity in the pursuit of one's life purpose.
