Maria Abdel Karim

Maria Abdel Karim, born in Lebanon (23 February 1990), holds a Bachelor Degree in Audio-Visual studies from Notre Dame University in Lebanon (2012) and a Masters Degree in Film Directing from Bournemouth University in England (2018). Her First short film is the musical "A Tempo the 3rd Act" (2012) that won 2 international Awards "Best Sound in Sapporo Film Festival" and "Best Arab Film in the European Independent Film Festival ECU Paris". It got selected into more than 10 International Film Festivals. She then, co-directed the Award Winning Lebanese Feature film "Waynoun" "VOID" that has won various awards world-wide in Script, Acting, Music Composition,Directing and was the Official Lebanese Submission to the Academy Awards in 2016.
