LaNecia Edmonds

LaNecia Edmonds was born and raised in Rhode Island. As a child and teen, she was a multi-talented performer, participating in dance, chorus, cheerleading, band, and color guard. Although she knew at a young age that she wanted to pursue acting, her parents encouraged her to seek out a back-up career plan. LaNecia, a hard worker who was determined to not struggle financially, starting working at the age of 14, working two jobs at the age of 17, and then earned a degree in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry at the University of Rhode Island. Soon after graduating from college, she obtained a job as a Quality Control Analyst for a pharmaceutical company, which gave her the stability and confidence she needed to finally pursue her dream of being an actor. In November of 2010, she threw herself into acting- taking classes, attending auditions, and soaking up as much information as she could about the industry. Starting her training with the renowned Bates Wilder through C.P. Casting, and filmmaker Mike Messier through his C.O.R.E. acting program, these instructors provided her with the foundation that enabled her to start landing lead roles in a multitude of projects. Since then, Ms. Edmonds has already acquired starring and co-starring roles in several films, commercials, and industrials- an impressive feat for someone who was new to the business just a few years ago.
