Juliana Philippi was born in Cleveland, but is and will always be from San Juan, Puerto Rico. She speaks English, Spanish, French and Italian fluently, becoming intrigued and determined to act on the international stage. She did learn to sing too, and was a member of the San Juan Children's Choir for 11 years, singing, composing, playing instruments and performing on the island and around the world, before leaving to get her BFA in Drama from Tisch School of the Arts, NYU. She has traveled all over the world acting in plays, feature films, short films, and writing novels and stories, found online. She premiered the leading role of "The Dancer" in Theater in Asylum's "Ole!", at the Theater Under St. Marks in New York City, as well as the Fringe Festivals in Chicago, Rochester, NY and Prague, Czech Republic, under a stage name "Sofia Lund". Her dance training in salsa, tango, ballroom dances, and Flamenco has given her the tools and grace to communicate with her form and body, allowing her the expression without words, that sometimes, storytelling, is all about.
