Kevin Egan is a filmmaker, songwriter and musician who's been performing in New York City for over thirty years. His past bands are 1.6 Band, the Last Crime and the New York hardcore band Beyond, which is also the subject of his documentary film What Awaits Us, a Beyond Story. Although his musical journey took him thousand of different places physically and spiritually, he still needed to pay the bills, which he did by working in tv/film production, handling props for long gone soap operas until he landed a gig on the talk show The View. He later worked on political films, ultimately finding himself with a camera in his hand in the middle of a riot during Occupy Wall Street. At various times, in between production gigs, he worked at two of the most prestigious, though now defunct, video stores in America: Reel Life in Brooklyn and I Luv Video in Austin, TX, where he developed an expanded knowledge of the great cinematic cannon.
