Martrell Upton was born and raised in Spring Valley, California. Consider San Diego County, Martrell made Spring Valley/San Diego his home where he grew up. Growing up, he was full of energy and goofiness that carried throughout all his family/friends. Quickly, he became known as goof ball kid or class clown to many in all his days from elementary school to his college years. In High School, he already had this passion to entertain his friends with crazy jokes mimicking some of his idols from movies and TV shows. Throughout High School, Martrell took drama class every year on top of playing Basketball and Football. Even though he had big dreams to an athlete, something inside always drew his heart back to the stage where he transcended (Starred in 2 plays) by the help of his Drama Teacher, who was like a father figure to him. Soon after,in college Martrell began to make that transition into a Film/TV Actor chasing his dreams every single day. You can see him now, in feature films such as: "Strong Black Woman" Which release Thanksgiving Day 2013. He is now pursuing his career working extremely hard to maximize his craft and grow into a stellar young Actor. Martrell also has a AA degree in Film & Television Production where he is now apart of a new growing production team called Starcore TV. A you-tube based Sketch comedy team of outstanding Actors. Upton has been seen in ABC show The Hustle(2012)where he was a featured in. He also, is in production of new Feature Film called Knock, Knock Who's There(2014), in which he's playing a the role of Romie.
