Aakash Bakshi

A director, actor, sound editor, photographer and tech-junkie, seasoned filmmaker Aakash Bakshi has worked up quite the palette of traits in recent years. His skills and resourcefulness combined with teamwork yielded back to back finalist placing short films in the national competition: Campus Movie Fest; with Salts in 2014 and Til' Death in 2015. Born in New Delhi, India, Aakash was raised for most of his childhood. His family emigrated to the United States in 2006 and around that time Aakash developed his passion for movie making and technology. Since then, Aakash has worked on a wide array of media projects such as audio plays, videography, and short films including: comedies, historical fiction dramas, mind-bending psychological dramas, and action thrillers. More ambitious with every film, Aakash has his sights on the top. Those that have worked with him know it is a rewarding challenge to push the limits of what can be done, with just a camera and some burning zeal; especially when the dust settles and one can look back at the monument of hard work called a "film". Aakash sees no end in sight for himself and his team and plans to follow in the footsteps of greatness like members of his own family, while carving a new path for himself.
