Michael D. Acosta

Mike is a screenwriting professor at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. MFA screenwriting, and Doctorate in Leadership. He began writing for the screen after his retirement from the Navy where he served at the Naval Academy. He adores writing for film, but is also a novelist. His freshman attempt, The Virus Chronicles, was published in 2015. Mike has produced several independent films, as well as directed features, but loves nothing more than building worlds on the blank page. Mike is from NYC, but makes his home primarily in N.C.
