Joseph V. Sultana

Joseph V Sultana was born and raised in east end of London. He has six siblings and is the second youngest. Joe now lives in Essex with his wife of 25 years and their two adult children. Having worked for nearly thirty years in the London rail industry Joseph decided to write a novel after a bet. On losing the bet he went on to see how far he could go in getting a novel finished. Eventually he completed Unsceptred Isle with a grand total of 90k+ words but he didn't stop there. With this mountain of words Joseph went about trying to get it published. After being told "No!" at every submission, Unsceptred Isle was finally self-published via Amazon as an e-book. Soon after the paperback got published and it got optioned as a film but didn't go beyond the development of a screenplay (which Joseph also wrote). Eventually the film rights came back to Joseph and he decided to see how far he could get with it and so started Laughing Raisin Productions. Finally the film is in pre-production and it's all thanks to his drive, enthusiasm and tenacity, plus the faith of others and a healthy serving of good luck.
