An accomplished dancer, actor and musician, James Elmer is a sought-after young entertainer with TV credits ranging from Australia's Got Talent and So You Think You Can Dance Australia to the recently released Sci fi comedy Trip For Biscuits. The breakdancing TV presenter and long-time star of the ABC3 show Studio 3, is renowned for his infectious energy and likeable personality. From 2011-2013 Elmer played Kookaburra in Splatalot! the internationally co-produced (YTV, BBC, ABC) medieval-themed game show for kids. James was a fan favourite on Disney and Nickelodeon and in 2012 his performances were seen in over 100 countries worldwide. 2015 saw James make his stage musical debut as Benny in the Australian premiere of In The Heights and in 2017 he played the lead role of Huey Calhoun in the Australian premiere of Memphis, receiving rave reviews for both. An experienced dancer who studied at Jason Coleman's Ministry of Dance, James is a widely respected and in-demand choreographer, recently responsible for Usain Bolt and the Nitro dancer's at the Nitro Athletics series that was televised worldwide. In February of 2017 James released his debut single Rainman through Trigger Records and is working on releasing more of his original music.
