Sam Sterling's pragmatic approach to business has arisen from over a 25-year successful background of entrepreneurship and business in the accounting and financial sectors. Before setting up Jolliwood Entertainment, Sam produced and directed several short films which were well received at festivals: 'Popo Gigi', and 'If Happiness is What you're Seeking'. A trip to India yielded a number of documentaries exploring social oddities, very much off the beaten track: 'Le Slumdog de Bombay' - about a French street beggar in Mumbai, and 'Rule Britannia' - a story visiting a unique restaurant, offering a permanent imperial nostalgia binge, and 'Mumbai Calling All Poochies' - a salubrious dog-show in Mumbai. His output as a writer consists of a number of feature length screenplays and novels. 'Shakespeare Goes Bollywood', is a cross-cultural comedy combining Shakespearian obsessions with Bollywood flamboyance. 'Traffick-King' is a rags-to-riches story, with a back-to-rags conclusion, set in West Africa, India and London. 'Baby Bébé', set in Cuba and London, is a moving drama about a young boy looking to set 'normality' into his harrowing life. 'Santa Claustein' is a family fable about community and inclusion.
