Zdenek Beran is a composer. His experience lies not only in composition but performance and studio production as well. He was classically trained in French Horn, Double Bass and Piano; plus he's taught himself both Acoustic and Electric Guitar. He has performed, and is still currently performing, as a professional on all the instruments listed above. He is also collaborating with students and graduates from FAMO Pisek (the school is associated with a colleague of Milos Forman whose name's Miroslav Ondricek, and is considered one of the best films schools in the Czech Republic) so he is familiar with the needs of movie production as it relates to music. He was employed at Prague Castle as a member of the Castle Guard Fanfare Orchestra where he played principal French Horn in a 25 member prestigious brass ensemble (2002-2013). A few ceremonial fanfares performed there were composed by him - in fact one piece was commissioned by Václav Havel himself.
