Manuel Tausch

Manuel Tausch is the co-owner of Stormborn Studios Inc, a Vancouver-based boutique studio that specializes in hyper-real CGI effects. Over the course of 12 years, Manuel has contributed to over 20 feature films while working at prestigious studios such as Sony Imageworks, Rhythm & Hues, ILM, and Weta. He began his career in 2007 after receiving a diploma in digital film and animation from the SAE Institute in Munich. He gained valuable experiences as a CG generalist and motion graphics artist for companies such as Aix Sponza, Pixomondo and Sky Television. In 2010 Manuel made his move into VFX and became a FX technical director. He succeeded by contributing to many high-profile feature films such as The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, Transformers 4: Age of Extinction, Captain America: Civil War and many more. In 2017 Manuel founded Stormborn Studios in Vancouver, Canada, together with his business partner Goran Pavles. It became the first modular studio in Canada focusing solely on FX, rather than adhering to a traditional CG pipeline.
