Born in San Diego, CA on April 22nd. At age 15, Suzanne was honing her newfound talents, singing and playing guitar, at The Heritage Coffeehouse in San Diego (Tom Waits was the doorman/performer), and all other coffeehouses in town. Suzanne hit the ground running spending the first half of her career singing full-time in venues during the "gig explosion years" for solos, duos, trios, and bands. A Theatre major at Grossmont College she made lifelong friends with some very talented people (Robert Hays, "Airplane", "Angie", and David Leisure, "Empty Nest"). She played for four years in a duo with multi-instrumentalist, Peter Varhola. Returning to Solo work, Suzanne soon was getting bookings in Las Vegas, Reno, and Lake Tahoe. During the Country Music boom, Suzanne was invited to be the front singer for the top two House Bands playing two of the largest CW Clubs in California. Suzanne has recently been to Europe and UK playing guest sets in Paris cafés and Bistros, House Concerts in The Hague, and pubs in Ireland, and home gigs. Some of these gigs from time to time are played with her multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter/recording engineer/filmmaker son, Michael Philip Reed (of The Smart Brothers, and Steam Powered Giraffe) in a duo called, "Your Mom". More healthy journeys have been added to Suzanne's road. These are Modeling, StandUp Comedy, and Acting. They bring her joy and allow her to participate in various fund raisers close to her heart using those skills.
