Tom Lock Griffiths, is a writer/director. He trained as a Sound Designer at the National Film and Television School, to which he regularly returns as a visiting tutor. His work in sound has received a Golden Reel nomination, a student Academy Award, a Grierson Award and several others. His first film as director, Waterfall, was about how grief and depression change the way we see the world. It played several UK film festivals, at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow, and won the Best Experimental Film at the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival 2017. His second film, Mistral, about loss and longing, featured in Latitude and London Light-Off Festivals and screened at the ICA as part of the London Short Film Festival in 2019. The Committal, Tom's third short film and first drama, is based on a 'missing scene' from the Greek tragedy Antigone, and is in post production.
