Kari is a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana with a Bachelor's in Theatre in 2011 and a Masters of Business Administration as of May 2022. She has taken workshops all over the country in an effort to further her education as a writer, actor and filmmaker. Starting in 2012 Kari got her feet wet in the Louisiana Film Prize community, taking production assistant jobs and doing everything from slating films, to holding booms, to hauling equipment between state lines. She also started a Louisiana-Texas Filmmaker Mixer with Natali Jones in 2018. In 2019, she produced and directed "Fast Forward Style" which premiered at the Louisiana Film Prize. In 2020 she acted in "All Shook Up" directed by Matthew Ramsaur which premiered at Silicon Valley International Film Festival. For a second collaboration with her mother, she directed and produced "Hard Up" in 2021 which is still on the film festival circuit. In her free time, she enjoys taking improvisation classes at The Groundlings and Second City. She has also studied with Margie Haber in Los Angeles and Nicole Drespel of the Upright Citizens Brigade. Kari plans to apply her MBA towards arts-focused endeavors.
