Ian Fay has been connecting the worlds of creativity and technology since he was a youngster in East Tennessee. With mixed roots in music, film, performance, and tech... for Ian, everything became a production. After college, he focused on web, media, and video as creative vehicles for communication. In 2006, he moved to DC to become a strategic communication consultant. Ultimately, the intersection of visual communication and storytelling became his niche, and he went out on his own to form his production company, Saint Gorilla. In 2012 he founded The Lookout, a video collective in Adams Morgan, with fellow filmmakers and friends that has since flourished to over forty, in-house, video and digital creatives. In early 2014, Fay co-founded a Charleston based video technology company called Infinite Takes, bridging his passion for technology and video. Their first product, Stream, is an enterprise live streaming platform that supports professional sports teams, media outlets, and major brands. Stream users consume over 500 years of video a month. Ian spends most of his time producing videos for national and DC-based organizations. He is also an Executive Producer, and sometimes actor, for collective film projects, often with members of The Lookout. In The Lookout's short existence, he's acted in and/or produced over twenty short films and a feature film, three of which received wide acclaim in national film festivals and one that is in a development deal. Client roster includes: HBO, Smithsonian, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, HGTV, Edelman Digital, DOLE, Facebook, FedEx, Jacksonville Jaguars, W Hotels, USPS, US Navy, American Alliance of Museums, The Africa-America Institute, World Affairs Council, American Security Council, Sony BMG, AFL-CIO, ASPCA, Center of Risk Communication, Committee for Economic Development, The Pink Line Project, Brightest Young Things, Maga Design, University of South Carolina, and Edens.
