Shannon Liana Walsh is an American actress, born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She was drawn to performing as early as four years old when she first stepped on stage as the Littlest Billygoat in The Billygoat's Gruff. She became seriously invested in acting during high school. As a graduate of Paseo Academy for Fine and Performing Arts, Shannon was able to learn and grow in a program and performance space that rivaled many college programs. The University of Minnesota: Twin Cities is where she discovered improv. There she got to perform with, watch, and learn from some of the best in Minneapolis. Her home of Kansas City has since provided many stage and film opportunities. On the stage, she is proud to have been featured as Witch 1 in MacBeth, Brooke in Noises Off, Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Anne in All My Sons. Shannon has also been involved with many films, including many she helped to write, produce, and develop, as well as act in. These films won her multiple awards in their respective film competitions. Kansas City offers filmmakers an event called One Night Stand, the shortest film competition in the world at 10 hours to shoot and edit a film. In 2011, her project In the Bush, swept all of the awards at the One Night Stand. The film was developed by, co-written by, and starred Shannon (Liana) Walsh. While she is known for her comedic skill, she can also approach drama with a natural and unique approach. It's been said that she has incredible technique and has a knack for intuitive self-direction. Finding the truth in characters and reflecting real humans in the world is what Shannon loves, hoping to make people think and perhaps laugh.
