Maxine Denis was born in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. to a Lebanese mother and a Canadian father. She was raised in Dubai alongside her sister Yasmine Denis and lived there until the age of eighteen. Maxine has been in the entertainment business since the age of eight when she was cast in Syriana. Since then her love and passion for acting has only blossomed. She spent three summers in Los Angeles, California training alongside great coaches, casting directors and other incredible actors. Throughout her high school years in Dubai she self-produced/directed multiple films, was cast in local commercials and acted in short films. She also took part in theatre productions such as Annie: The Musical, We Will Rock You: The Musical and more. Maxine was hired by a technology company called Pixelbug to record regular voice-overs for their main character Bugsy the ladybug in their application Colorbug. Since then she has grown in the VoiceOver industry, working as an audio-book narrator for two novels: Finding Felicity by P. Creeden and Try Not To Die: In Brightside by Mark Tullius and Dawna Gonzales. She has also worked on projects in animation and dubbing. At the age of eighteen, Maxine moved to Montreal alone to further pursue acting and earn a Psychology degree at McGill University. She joined the McGill Cheerleading Team as a flyer, training regularly and competing nationally. In 2018, she graduated and received her Bachelor's Degree. She constantly continues her acting training, registering for workshops and classes and auditioning across the country. By speaking four languages, English, French, Arabic and Spanish, she has been able to broaden her horizons and work on even more projects. One personal project she has taken on is co-founding an online audition, self-tape and cold-read workshop called isolACTION with her business partner and friend, Alex Gravenstein. When Maxine is not working, she loves to stay active by training in boxing, rock climbing and stunt work. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially when that involves playing board games, video games or trying new restaurants. In her spare time, she loves to read, sing and listen to music. One goal on Maxine's bucket list is to travel the world and discover all the incredible cultures and landscapes. Maxine now resides in Montreal and is working hard to gain footing and experience. She is represented by Maria Morelia at Bellini International Inc. in Montreal and Ronda Cooper at The Characters Talent Agency in Toronto for film/television, voiceover, commercial and print.
