Thomas Joseph-Cooper Delcarpio, is an American film director & writer, best known for his highly theatrical and dreamlike films that are often violent yet visually stunning. Delcarpio is a native of Louisiana, but left home in the early 2000's to study painting and sculpture at the School of The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA. Before graduating from Tufts University in 2007, Delcarpio changed his focus from traditional fine art to film. After graduation he returned home briefly working in the television industry for a CBS News affiliate. After two years, Delcarpio then returned back to Massachusetts determined to make cutting edge independent horror films. On Halloween of 2009, he and Nick Lazzaro released the controversial short, "Rubber Whore Hell". In 2012, Delcarpio joined forces with Paul McAlarney of "Super Townie" fame to co-direct "No Thanks," a graphic short that was featured in the 48 hour film festival to critical acclaim. Delcarpio and McAlarney as well as a majority of the crew from that production went on to create the now infamous Bloody Hammer Films. Also in 2012, Delcarpio helped oversee Bloody Hammer's first feature length production, "Honky Holocaust", as the art director, a producer, and the assistant director. In 2013 Delcarpio assistant directed the shocking and exploitative "western torture" short film, "12 Rounds For The Loaded." After the dissolution of Bloody Hammer films in 2014, Delcarpio took a brief hiatus from film making, working as a Creative Producer for CBS. In 2017 he returned to independent film as an associate producer on Dave Sullivan's first erotic exploitation film, "Are You Coming or What?" Delcarpio has since joined Sullivan's production Sleight of Hand Films.
