Rhys Lovell is a writer/actor/director whose theatre work has been seen throughout Central Illinois for the past 30 years. He has directed extensively for Prairie Fire Theatre, including productions of A Little Night Music, My Fair Lady, The Pirates of Penzance and Oklahoma! Eureka College credits include Dead Man's Cell Phone and Other Places. At Illinois Wesleyan University, he directed The Glass Menagerie and created the set design for the opera Gianni Schicchi; and for Heartland Theatre, his home away from home, he has acted in, and directed numerous productions, including Doubt, Rabbit Hole, Clybourne Park, Three Tall Women, and A Doll's House. Mr. Lovell serves as the Artistic Director for Heartland Theatre. He is a native of Bloomington/Normal, where he lives with his wife and two children.
