Chelsea Roff is a nationally-recognized author, speaker, and yoga instructor. She serves as Managing Editor for the Chopra family's online media platform, Intent.com, and writes regularly for The Huffington Post, Yahoo, Care2, and Yoga Journal. Chelsea's amazing story of recovering from anorexia and a subsequent stroke was showcased on Sanjay Gupta's CNN show Human Factors, on the front page of AOL.com, and on the Hallmark Channel. Prior to entering the world of journalism, Chelsea worked as a researcher in a Psychoneuroimmunology laboratory. While in university, she completed two Honors Theses: one on how stress affects mental, emotional, and social health, and the second on how mind-body practices like yoga can improve the outcome of chronic immune diseases like HIV/AIDS and cancer. Chelsea is known for her intelligent, inspiring, and tell-it-like-it-is speaking style, and for weaving together profound personal experiences with her scientific background to deliver deeply moving insights. Her writing and workshops cover a wide range of topics, reflecting the wild and crazy, "you can't make this $#!% up" life she's lived thus far. She is the first-born daughter of a lesbian couple, an eating disorder survivor, a former foster care kid, primary caregiver to a parent with dementia, and a self-proclaimed neuroscience junkie. Chelsea lives in Venice, California, where she speaks regularly at recovery centers, universities, and professional organizations. She also serves on the Yoga Service Council and supports leadership teams at yoga service organizations around the country to more effectively serve in-need populations.
