Alex Zou is a Chinese-American filmmaker, photographer, and actor. After graduating New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film & Television, he co-founded Noface Productions, a boutique film production company based in New York City. Through his company, he directed and produced short films that went on to screen and win awards at several international film festivals. In 2017, he collaborated with Oscar-nominee Christine Choy as a producer on two feature documentaries that brought him to Beijing, Suzhou, Henan, and Shanghai. After working on these projects abroad, Alex was inspired to stay in China and pursue a career in acting. In 2018, he graduated Beijing Film Academy's one-year acting conservatory. He debuted and starred in US-China collaborated short film, 'The Mailbox', which was nominated for Best Short Film at the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival.
