Michal Dawidowicz

He is the film and theatre director, actor, mime actor (diploma Mime Actor in ZASP (2003) and designer. He graduated Lodz Film School at the Directing Department as the bachelor in 2009. After that in 2012 he graduated MA Degree at Film and TV Directing at The Radio and Television Department of Silesian University in Katowice in Poland. He graduated also the Academy of Fine Arts at Interior Design Department (2002). He worked at professional theaters (e.g Teatr Polski in Wroclaw), at private theatres (Form Theatre, Living Theatre), in opera, at film sets (e.g Stephen Spielberg's "St. John's Place"). He has won several awards for documentary short film "Flightless Birds": 1. For the "Best Documentary" at: International Student Film Festival Early Melons in Bratislava, 2. He won the first prize in the International "Short Film Festival in Warsaw", 3. He received the prize "Findling" Association of Film Communication Mecklenburg - Western Pomerania to: European Documentary Film Festival "dokumentART" in Neubrandenburg. 4. "Ladek Zdroj Mayor's Award" at the "Andrzej Zawada's XIV Mountain Film Festiwal" 5. Also his earlier movie "Krupka 0.5" was awarded the third prize at the Festival of "Lodzia Po Wisle". Michael Dawidowicz expanded his skills at workshops like: body-sound- movement integration, contemporary dance, butoh dance, mime theatre, shamanic, singing and others. He is co-founder of "Theatre From Here" and "Studio Of Unusual Steps" (youth dance theater), where he directed 9 performances in years 2013 - 2016.
