Gail Byer

Gail was born in The City of Brotherly Love (Phila.) a very long time ago. From the time she was little, she was singing songs of musical theatre which her father sang in community theatre. At Temple University she decided to get her BS in Communications & Theatre. After that, children's theatre became her gateway to the Professional Theatre. Actors' Equity card in hand she moved to The Big Apple (NYC) in 1977. Her SAG & AFTRA cards followed, and 100's of auditions!!! Films, commercials, a cruise ship stint, and lots of theatre followed through the years. Marriage and a move to Mass. didn't stop the work! One day, though, she and her husband decided to sell their business and move to Florida. And the rest, as they say, is History. Gail has appeared in shows at The Broward Center for the Performing Arts, The Wick Theatre, Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Actors' Playhouse, Broward Stage Door Theatre, to name a few. Her Television and Commercial career has begun to blossom. She became instantly recognizable from her hilarious commercial for The Isles Casino, where her Karate Kick has catapulted her to new heights, including a few billboards on Interstate 95! Look for Gail next season as the irascible Mary Motherwell on the new TV series, In Sanity, Florida (with Burt Reynolds). And you can always follow her antics on Facebook!!
