Hans-Jürgen Köhler

Born 1952 in Germany / North Rhine-Westphalia, studies in theatre, motion picture and media sciences and journalism at the FU Berlin (Free University) and at the university film unit. Author of short stories, prose and drama articles for anthologies, film critics for newspapers. Bit-part actor and trainee at the metropolitan theatres in Dortmund and Berlin. Lateron independent film producer of motion pictures basing on own scripts. Invitation to the "Max-Ophüls-Competition" in Saarbrücken, participation in the film market of the "Berlinale", international film award in Brussels ("prix du meilleur film de fiction") and a first film retro in western Berlin. Invitations to festivals (e.g. "Institute of Contemporary Arts / London). Founding member of the "Filmhaus Berlin" and the working group of scriptwriters, participation in international direction seminars. Production manager and small-part actor in North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin. Move to Hannover, first video retro and founding member of the "Offener Kanal Hannover" (today h1). Cooperation at h1 (local television of Hannover), especially with most differing reports on music, culture and local events. "Video of the month" at "Regiomusik" in June and July 2009, "Heise" video recommendation in 2010 and 2011, film classes in the adult education. Living as independent cameraman and video producer in Hannover.
