Max Amor

Producers, directors and his peers often describe San Diego native Max Amor as "a true character, a nice kid with extraordinary work ethic and politeness." Max's heuristic upbringing style, which he applies to his everyday life; always prepared for his day on set, effortlessly memorizing script, coupled with the right attitude to avoid delaying production has earned him the respect of industry professionals. Max was destined to be in the limelight from an early age. As a toddler he showed keen interest in film and would make home videos of his every day life, or that of his toys, which he would then entitle Max The Magnificent. He attended Mission Bay Montessori Academy in La Jolla, CA where he was a member of the schools' award-winning choir and band as well as various sports programs like golf and tennis. By third grade it was clear that Max's uniquely creative nature would be better served by home schooling. His love of music continued outside of MBMA with the San Diego Children's Choir where he contributed in productions such as San Diego Ballet, The Nutcracker and Ethan Bortnick Music Time Machine. At age 14 his love for comedy landed him a series regular role in Play By Play, garnering him a nomination for Young Entertainer Award, Best Young Actor in a Web Series. He worked along side director Susanna Fogel (The Spy Who Dumped Me) and creator and producer Kevin Jakubowski (Legendary Dudas on Nickelodeon.) Always a natural athlete, Max continues to improve his game of tennis and golf, and recently picked up fencing and is a green sash in Kung Fu. He is ambidextrous, which has proven to be an asset in all sports especially in baseball where he's a switch hitter and can throw/pitch left and right. His hobbies and interests include playing piano (autodidact), gaming, chess, billiards, and is a fan of Anime. Max graduated High School at 16 years old, he's currently on sabbatical (October 2018 - January 2020), though he continues committed to his studies (autodidact) in Spanish and does well when presented with scripted Spanish. He is also interested in learning Japanese. His acting peers often slate him as eccentric, mostly enjoying orchestral, and contemporary to modern piano music and jazz. Looking up to musicians such as Frank Sinatra and Charles Aznavour. It is no surprise he is often characterized as an old soul. Max finds great joy in writing screenplays and has produced a decent collection, though he's not ready to consider himself a screenwriter or filmmaker yet. He has high respect for the men and women who inspire him. He respects the experience of others enough to build up the same credibility for himself that they have worked for years to accrue. He is working hard at learning his craft and the industry in general. Max, an only child recently relocated to the Los Angeles area where he is being raised by a single parent.
