Rémy Huberdeau

Rémy is a Franco-Manitoban trans filmmaker and emerging producer. He completed the DOC Institute & Hot Docs' Breakthrough Program for emerging producers (2017) and is a Documentary Director Stream graduate of Quebec's cinema conservatory (2009), l'Institut national de l'image et du son - L'INIS. Rémy's known for creating the structure and trust required for building healthy long-term relationships that can act as the foundation of rich and meaningful storytelling. This approach can also be described as un cinéma de relations. Rémy's directorial début, Transgender Parents (2014), was commissioned by the Doc Channel and has screened around the world. His short film Au pays des esprits won Best Canadian Film at Inside Out in 2011. Originally from St-Boniface, Rémy lives in Toronto.
