Two of his short films, "Ordo Morti" and "Plain White Van" became official selections at the ACAF Low Film Festival, in Brazil. In 2016, he teamed up with Dark Odyssey Films to be the assistant director for "The Unexpected Honor", which became a semi-finalist in the L.A.I.F.F. (Los Angeles International Film Festival). Now, Dark Odyssey Films and Gothic House Productions are teaming up to film a horror series entitled, "Mike Cowan's: Bedtime Stories", which is influenced by classic shows, such as The Twilight Zone and Night Gallery.
