Amanda Brien was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1975. Throughout her life she has had a strong passion for film. Due to life's twists and turns it was not until 2012 that Amanda finally directed her first short film, Happy Hour. In 2013 Amanda wrote and directed Hyenas which was subsequently broadcast on Ireland's national television station, RTE. The film was also screened in Dublin's Savoy cinema during the Five lamps Film Festival. Her latest short film, Off Topic, has just been completed. This story focuses on a late night radio phone show. Amanda continues to write screenplays and as of May 2015 is working on a new untitled project.
