Al Powell

Al Powell was born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, UK on 7th December 1991. At the age of 10 he was given the chance to perform on stage and taste the limelight. For the next 8 years he was involved with several shows on stage before moving to York in 2010. Due to his love for the theatre Al took up dance lessons for 5 years in which he did Ballet, Modern and Tap. In 2010 Al went to study Theatre at York St John University, UK, this is when his love and passion for being on screen came about, in the 3 years at university he has been involved in 7 student short films, in which he has played a variety of characters. Al's first BBC appearance was 'The Great Train Robbery' in 2013, since then he has appeared in 'In The Club' 2014 and 'Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell' 2015, in which he was in 6 out of the 7 episodes.
