Anthony R. Smith is a multi-award winning writer and director. His first taste of the industry was as a child actor, performing in numerous stage plays and musicals. Whilst studying drama, he would often direct other actors and create smaller productions and slowly progressed into directing short films. Anthony studied Film Production at the University of Central Lancashire. Since graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Film Production, Anthony formed a multi-award winning partnership with cinematographer, Joseph McDonald, and have since worked with clients such as ASDA, NHS, PayAsUGym and SunLife. Anthony is a keen writer and director for fictional drama and thriller. His short film, 'Diary of a Bed Number', produced on behalf of the NHS is an emotional drama focusing on the complexity of dementia. The film went on to win two awards for its writing and production. Anthony often places ordinary characters in extraordinary situations, giving those without a voice a chance to prove themselves.
