George Sikharulidze was born on April 21, 1988. He is a writer/director based in New York and Tbilisi and is known for Fatherland (2018), Red Apples (2016) and A New Year (2019). His films have been screened in official selections at Toronto International Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival and Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival. He is a participant of Cinéfondation Residence of Cannes Film Festival, Torino Script Lab and Torino Feature Lab. He holds a Bachelor's degree from NYU and an MFA in screenwriting and directing from Columbia University.
