April Russell

Born in Tulsa, Ok. April did all types of writing from a very early age but it's when she saw Star Wars at the age of 6 that the acting bug bit. She knew she was bound for character work when she was cast as Gandalf in her high school production of "The Hobbit." In college she was introduced to various acting techniques but found herself drawn to Meisner. Later she studied acting and the Sanford Meisner Technique at the Elizabeth Mestnik Acting Studio in Los Angeles (EMAS.) She also studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade. She's worked as an actor, producer and 1st AD on various short and feature films. She's also performed in local theatre. In Theatre Tulsa's production of "Jekyll & Hyde" April performed 7 different roles, 5 of which were men, including Hyde #4 and Poole the butler. April is signed with Magna Talent and is repped by Michelle Swink.
