Shell Walker-Cook is a Screenwriter-Producer-Attorney-Journalist. She earned her 1998 J.D. Cum Laude from the David Clarke School of Law, Washington, D.C. Previously she earned her 1997 M.B.A. Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland at Baltimore, Maryland; 1995 B.A. Summa Cum Laude Philosophy/Electronic Journalism from George Washington University, Washington D.C. She earned her Audio Recording Certification from Omega Recording Studios, Kensington, Maryland from 1980-1982. In 2017 Ms. Walker-Cook modernized her analog foundations to digital adaptation at UCLA Extension Feature Film Screenwriting and Writing for Television Joint Master Certification in December 2017. Awards include, but are not limited to, Winner Best Drama Teleplay 2017 for Bandit Day Operation Sandman; Winner Best Military Action Teleplay Los Angeles Film Festival September 2017; Winner 2016 Berlin Independent Film Festival for Best Drama Screenplay for Bar None. She also won top awards for Bar None at twelve film festivals inside and outside the United States. Ms. Walker-Cook was recognized by her live producers' peers by winning best small halls promoter in 1980, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1990 and 1991. Shell is actively involved with the preservation and expansion of the understanding of Native American cultures which she demonstrated by founding the Native American Law Students Association and their endowments at the Howard University School of Law in 1996 and at the David Clarke School of Law in 1998.
