Zhan Wang

Born and raised in China, Zhan Wang earned a B.A. in Literature, and an M.F.A. in Film Production. Zhan's broad interest in self-discovery, sociology, literature and philosophy, fuels her thought-provoking movies. Zhan's scripts feature generally strong female lead character and she advocates equal opportunity for women in films. She worked for MTV China as a writer/director before she came to the United States and he is the founder/writer/director of Wild Strawberries Films, which focuses on developing China-U.S. co-productions. Her short film Styx Inn was successfully funded through the most influential Chinese Indiegogo (zhongchou.cn) and has been selected to major festivals.
