Alessandro De Rosa (Milan, 1985) undertook his study of music composition following Ennio Morricone's advice. He studied with Boris Porena in Rome and then graduated from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, Netherlands. As a composer and arranger, he collaborated with Jon Anderson of the band Yes. Together with Ennio Morricone he is the author of the book "Ennio Morricone - In his own words. Ennio Morricone in conversation with Alessandro De Rosa" (Oxford University Press, 2019) Morricone's autobiography in form of conversations, published in 2016 in Italy by Mondadori Libri and translated in several widely spoken languages. He has worked as a composer for numerous agencies and companies including Amadeus Music and Pastelle Music writing music for documentaries, films and advertisements. For two years he was also the Pastelle Music's Head of A\R and Talent Manager. Among his compositions "Gravità Ritrovata per Orchestra", commissioned by the Residentie Orkest for its 110th anniversary in 2014, and the opera "Trashmedy", composed for the 63rd edition of La Biennale di Venezia Musica 2019, premiered in Venice at the Piccolo Arsenale Theater on October 6, 2019. De Rosa currently works as a freelance musician and collaborates as author and speaker with RAI (Radiotelevisione Italiana), RSI (Radiotelevisione Svizzera di Lingua Italiana) and Audible Amazon.
