James Lee Burke

James Lee Burke is the son of a preacher man born and raised in Texas. Booking compelling, leading roles since the third grade, acting has always been his A and only plan. He attended the University of Houston School of Theater, majoring in Theater/Acting, was cast in multiple main stage productions. He then started working professionally on the Houston stage, joining AEA, doing a lot of improv comedy, signing with one of TX's largest agencies, and booking commercials and a few TV spots. Life then threw him a curve ball, and he took some time off for a decade or so, moving to Austin and starting his own business. But he couldn't shake the bug, and started training again (always training, always growing) with local studios and coaches, did some plays, picked up another agent, and started booking commercials, industrials, Indi films and features like crazy in central TX. All his family lives in ATL, so he recently moved there with the intent on making acting a full time gig. James has an incredible supportive wife, 3 incredible supportive kids, a supportive family, and a supportive and flexible job (even if they don't know it yet).
