David Alves Mattos was born in Brasilia, capital of Brazil, in 1983. He graduated in Journalism in the year 2006 at the University of Brasilia, and immediately after that he went to the Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV de San Antonio de Los Baños (EICTV), the prestigious international film school of Cuba (2006-2009), where he majored in Cinematography. David has worked as a Director of Photography in several short movies, both fiction and documentary in Cuba and Brazil, since 2007. He directed the short movie "Memorias de Un Recuerdo" in 2007 and co-directed the short documentary "Levino", to be released in 2016.
