Sandra Sealy

Prior performance experience was from some theatre and mainly spoken-word. Sandra co-produced a music video by Pelican Films for her spoken word single "Beauty Of The Bald Head." Her voice has also been used in ads for United Insurance and the National Cultural Foundation as well as a promo for Brian Wright's "Rolling Soul Show" while at York University and Starcomm Network. With a background in public relations and cultural administration, Sandra, understands writing creatively and persuasively for several publics, including global followers of her blog, Seawoman's Caribbean Writing Opps and Facebook group Caribbean Writers. Not content to be confined, Sandra feeds her soul creating spoken-word ("Beauty Of The Bald Head"), poetry, fiction, non-fiction and drama. She is also a creative writing tutor, mentor and freelance writer. Among her accomplishments are: The Small Axe Literary Competition (shortlisted for short fiction), The Irving Burgie Literary & Creative Arts Scholarship (1st place winner), as well as the National Independence Festival of Creative Arts (NIFCA) with recognition as a past Judge and the recipient of several awards in literary arts and film (silver, bronze and Incentive Awards).
