Alex Grene was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and has grown up between New York, Chicago, and Ireland. In October 2013, Alex's debut feature-length film "Directors: A Comedy" won the prize for Best Comedy at its world premiere at Indie Fest USA. He lives in New York, where he is producing his second feature, titled "The Book of Hannah." Alex's screenplays have been positively reviewed and selected by the Austin and Cinequest Film Festivals. Alex trained as an orchestral composer at the University of Chicago, and has scored three features so far: "Directors," "Tophy" (a 2015 Iranian-American surrealist romance film) and "Nemesis" (a 2017/18 thriller in post-production).
