Lauren Ide is a young American Producer with a background in film studies, production management, and broadcasting. She graduated Fairleigh Dickinson University's Honors Program magna cum laude and was the 2017 recipient of the Achievement Award in Film. Ide began studying film in high school and chose to continue her studies throughout college. Once enrolled in the Film Studies program at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, she continued her education by beginning her studies in Producing and Production Management. As a junior within the film program, Ide successfully produced her first senior thesis film, "Exposure," which had a running time of about 40 minutes, measuring out to be the longest thesis of the year. Following her successful start as a Producer, Ide continued on to Line Produce a feature film, "Title VII," the following summer. As she entered her final year at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Ide produced her own original thesis, "Unheard," about a young local deaf girl who runs away from home. With no where to go, she is left wandering in her world, a world without sound. Following the premiere of "Unheard" at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Senior Film Thesis Night, "Unheard" was one of three recipients of the most successful films of the year. Its powerful, heart warming story had touched the audience and was one of the stand out films of the night. As of July 2017 Ide is continuing her filmmaking career through working as Director of Marketing and Outreach for DigiNext Films, a film distribution company that focuses on direct to consumer distribution.
