Selena Griffin was born in Jamaica, New York on November, 15 1972, and is the first daughter of Murline Flowers, a housewife, and mother of six, and Victor A. Griffin, an urban construction worker and taxi driver. She is of Native American, Jamaican, Cuban and African-American descent and is proud of her indigenous heritage. She is a graduate of CUNY, University in Manhattan, New York and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art and Theatre Arts. While in New York, she started acting professionally, first in plays, such as "Guys & Dolls" (1984) and "The Good Woman of Szechuan" (1993). In another role, she played as Vice Squad Detective in the feature film, "Dirty Shield" (2005). Selena started her television background roles in "Law & Order", "Chappelle's Show", "Whoopi!", "Sex & the City" and as a waitress in a reality show called "Into Character" on AMC. Selena Griffin is married to her husband, Alphonso Ervin and has two children. She lives in Phoenix, AZ
